Homesteaded in 1903, Beaver Meadows Stables sits alongside the North Fork of the Poudre River in the scenic Rocky Mountains. Located just 5 miles northwest of the village of Red Feather Lakes, CO and about 50 miles northwest of Fort Collins, we’re just a short drive to get a whole world apart from the big city.

We’ve known this country for a lifetime and want to share its beauty with you. Come see how the landscape transforms within the twist s and turns of our vast trail system. Lush quaking aspen groves interspersed with thousands of wildflowers, dense forests of lodge pole pine and moss covered rocks all beg the camera’s lenses to be remembered. Our experienced wranglers will guide you along our private trail system and lead you into the 300,000 acre Roosevelt National Forest.

We are open year-round. So, whether it’ll be a trail ride complete with cookout dinner, an authentic covered wagon ride for the whole family or an old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh ride through our magical winter wonderland, there’s something for everyone at Beaver Meadows Stables. We offer well-trained, mellow horses to match your experience level, whether you’ve never ridden in your life or been in the saddle most of your life. Overnight lodging and a full-service restaurant & saloon are available on-site. Sit back, relax and enjoy the Rocky Mountains the old west way…with a trusty horse at the lead.
